When those "buttons" are pushed

I am so grateful to my family in all of its forms for their role in my soul journey. While it is a joy to share special moments together, it can be painful when those "buttons" are pushed that bring to the surface aspects of myself that need healing . If not for forgiveness when I react badly and love and trust that comes from a long history of caring for one another, it may not be bearable.

Recently, at the end of a challenging day, I received a message that pushed a button. For the first time in a long while, I felt angry. The following post from Thich Nhat Hanh brought me into deeper awareness of the root of my (emotional) state, the first step on the way to unconditional gratitude for everything that happens (thank you Master Marilyn:)

Someone who is angry is someone who doesn't know how to handle their suffering. They are the first victim of their suffering, and you are actually the second victim. Once we can see this, compassion is born in our heart and anger evaporates. We don't want to punish them any more, but instead we want to say something or do something to help them suffer less.

Ah yes, I was suffering, (and not handling it well.) This recognition helped me to move out of anger and into compassion for myself and for the others involved, and next to search inwardly for my role in bringing the situation to myself in the first place.

Given that we are mirrors for one another, what was I being shown? Some thoughts that had been running through my mind were that others were taking advantage and asking compensation while not offering value. When and where in my life have I taken advantage and not offered good value? As Jesus teaches, before attempting to take the speck out of my brother's eye, I must first take the log out of my own eye.

I began thinking about all that I have; for instance, clean water delivered right to my tap. How many people and hours did it take to build the reservoir and filtration system, to make, install and maintain the pipes that bring the water to the house and for the fixtures inside the house? What good service am I offering that compares to the value of just this one thing, that would be considered a miracle in some parts of the world today? I am so grateful for the cycle of water on Earth that provides natural purification of water. I am so grateful to all of the people who have and continue to maintain our system of delivery of fresh water to each home and for the Plumbers who have trained to take on the task of maintaining water circulation within our homes.

Self-compassion helped to bring me back into gratitude; who would have thought?

And compassion offers much more; thank you Master Sha for sharing your wisdom about the power of compassion to boost energy, stamina, vitality, and immunity, even more reason for self-compassion!

How about you? Do you recognize when you are suffering and offer yourself compassion? I invite you to share your experiences of transforming painful situations.

Family Day February 9, 2015

In many parts of Canada today we are celebrating Family Day.  Our lives are often filled with busyness; work, chores, meetings and more; how precious to set aside time together as a family!

In my case, my daughter lives on the other side of the country and most of my brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews live far away as well.  I cherish the times we do get together in person, over the phone and connect through text messages and mail. My dear family members, I connect to you now heart-to-heart, soul-to-soul and ask your forgiveness for the mistakes I have made that have caused you hurt or harm.  I offer my greatest love and gratitude to each of you who have a place in my heart forever.  We are one!

I also cherish my soul family, those sisters and brothers, fathers and mothers who live close by and throughout the world. My dear soul family, I connect to you now heart-to-heart, soul-to-soul and ask your forgiveness for the mistakes I have made that have caused you hurt or harm.  I offer my greatest love and gratitude to each of you who have a place in my heart forever. We are one!

In this lifetime we each have a finite amount of time to "spend" and to offer one another; what a precious commodity! I am grateful for this opportunity to offer some of my time to send this love letter via the internet and via the "intranet" that requires no technology beyond one heart opening to another. We are one!

We are one; a personal experience

4 February 2015

Today I take this opportunity to share with you a deep realization that began unfolding during a practice at a recent retreat with many beloved soul brothers and sisters, led by Master Sha and his Worldwide Representatives.  We were holding hands in a circle and chanting over and over again the following song:

I love you, you love me, we are one, we are one.

Each of us in turn was invited to suggest a word to exchange with "love" e.g. "forgive" and we would all sing the new phrase.

I forgive you, you forgive me, we are one, we are one

Some beautiful words were shared; "serve", "cherish", "honour", and then came the following: "never left you"

I never left you, you never left me, we are one, we are one

My mind stopped, my heart opened and tears began to fall.

you left me

I realise that this message has been with me for a long time and has, in fact, been the reason that my heart has not opened fully.  I honour my heart; and the wisdom of opening at the appropriate time. As a 2 year old given up for adoption, having experienced numerous additional coming and going of people, places and things in this lifetime, it is easy to understand how a heart can close.

This time, as my heart opened, I received healing and new wisdom: when my heart is open, I will no longer feel "you left me," I will instead understand the truth; "we are one;" People come in and out of my life to offer blessings, lessons or an opportunity to serve.  Some are part of my life for a short period of time, others for longer.  I can keep my heart open, and extend gratitude for whatever that person, place, thing brings; we are forever connected heart to heart; we are one!

You are away from me. There is a window open from my heart to yours. From this window, like the moon I keep sending news secretly.- Rumi

How about you?  Is your heart ready to open further?

Families and Thanksgiving

A recent experience as a volunteer brought up an issue from my childhood.  I recalled one weekend I spent hours taking care of household duties; laundry and ironing, vacuuming, dusting, baking.  When my mother came home, she asked me if I had also washed the floor.  I recall the feeling of pride rapidly deflating at that time.  With a higher understanding, I now realize that my service at that time (and also more recently) was not unconditional; I had expected to be "paid" with gratitude.  Families offer us unlimited opportunities to develop unconditional love, unconditional forgiveness and unconditional service.  For that we can be very grateful!

I think back to my mother and I realise that every day she took care of household duties and fortunately she did not stand by waiting for any of us children to thank her.  While we celebrated her contributions each year on Mother's Day, we learned from our father to express gratitude for the meal she lovingly prepared for dinner each day.  Further development of gratitude has taken time.

As I reflect on the amazing service offered by parents, guardians and ancestors, from teachers and coaches, from health care workers, from tradespeople, public servants and many more, I realise that the appropriate response to the service offered is to express gratitude and to "pay it forward," offering unconditional service.  When I think about the unconditional service offered by Mother Earth and Father Sun, without which there would be no life on Earth as we know it, the only response I can offer is unconditional service and gratitude.  When I think about the Divine, the source of all life, all my Soul Mothers and Fathers in all layers of Heaven and Mother Earth, the only response I can offer is unconditional service and gratitude.

I am so grateful to have the opportunity within my family to learn about service and gratitude and very grateful now to continue learning as we together create the Love Peace Harmony World Family! See more at:

Harmony within; balancing metabolism for weight loss/gain

Hello and welcome!

Today's topic is about Harmony within.  Have you ever stopped to think about the miracle of our physical being; the billions of cells, organized into organs and systems, all working in harmony like one big happy family?  Most of us first become aware of the intricacies of our inner workings when there is an issue.  As Master Sha teaches, whenever there is an issue, there is a blockage.  How do we overcome blockages?  We bring the light!

Here is one practice to balance metabolism or for weight loss or gain:

Place your Left palm over the abdomen and place your Right palm over your Left palm.

Visualize golden light in the area behind your palms, radiating to all parts of your body.

Chant mantra: "Hei heng hong ha"

Say hello: to Divine, Tao, Master Sha and All Saints in Heaven; ask them to send light to your lower abdomen area and throughout your body. Ask every cell, organ and system to receive the light, to increase frequency and vibration.  For weight loss/gain make the specific request that metabolism be adjusted to either burn fat or gain healthy matter,

To practice with me:

May the blessings you offer be felt far and wide and may they return to you multiplied manyfold!

Cynthia

What my ancestors bring to me

July 18, 2014

There are teachings in many of the faith paths on how we are to relate to our ancestors.  In the Christian path, the fifth commandment has a promise:

Honour your father and your mother so that things will go well with you and you will have a long life on the earth (from Ephesians 6:2-3)

I am fortunate to have had two sets of parents in this lifetime; the mother and father of my ancestral line and the mother and father who adopted and raised me.  I am deeply grateful to my adoptive parents, both of whom have now passed on.  While I never reconnected with the mother of my ancestral line before she passed on, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know about her through her first born, my beloved half-sister.

I have been in contact with the father of my ancestral line off and on over the past 30 years and have had many opportunities to learn ever more deeply what it means to have gratitude for all that my ancestors bring to me.  I am so grateful for all of the blessings I have received from my ancestors; the blessing of being born in one of the most peaceful, stable areas of the Earth, the blessing of a healthy body. the blessing of educational opportunities, to name a few. And then there are the weaknesses; there has been much that I have seen and rejected, not understanding at the time that what I reject in my parents, is what I reject in myself, thus missing the opportunity to heal.

How about you?  What aspect of your parents do you have difficulty loving?  How would your life be different if you could accept that difficulty as a gift, a message of an aspect of yourself to be purified; your gift back to your ancestors and to all humanity?

Today, more than ever, it is evident that humanity needs more love, peace and harmony, and you may ask, what can I do?  Begin with yourself and your family.

Today let's show our gratitude and appreciation to our ancestors by chanting the Divine Soul Song of Love, Peace and Harmony for 15 minutes or more.  I invite you to share any insights you experience.

Mother's Day May 11, 2014

On the eve of Mother's Day I headed out for a jog.  As I was passing by the house of a neighbour, I was invited by a young girl and her friend to watch their "silly show."  Such joy in simple pleasures; a friend to play with, a warm dry evening, soft grass and an audience.  I think back on the joy of my daughter when her best friend came for a sleepover.  That same friend came for a sleepover this past Christmas on my daughter's visit from college.  I think back on handmade Mother's Day cards, hugs and more lately, heartwarming text messages.  How can I ever express my gratitude for the opportunity to learn the joy of unconditional giving?

I love you Antonia

I think about the one who gave birth to me and did her best to take care of me until a new family was found to take care of me at age two. Did you ever get a homemade Mother's Day card?  My heart is sad when I think of how hard your life must have been.  I have posted a blessing request for you on Master Sha's Soul Healing Miracles Chanting Channel.

I think about the one who raised me; of the homemade Mother's Day cards and gifts.  How can I ever thank the one who was always there for me?

I love you mom

And how about you?  What simple pleasures will you share with loved ones this Mother's Day?

May you be both blessed and a blessing to many today.  May the blessings you offer be felt far and wide and may they return to you multiplied manyfold!

Love,
Cynthia
