Such occasions may also bring up "family stuff" as anxiety rises. How can we tip the scales toward action in support of healing of the injured one? In the words of Master Zhi Chen Guo, "empty your heart, throw away selfishness and serve humanity unconditionally" Sounds simple; in practice, not so easy.
Here is what I am finding helpful: I begin each day with a practice asking and offering forgiveness for any mistakes that have caused hurt or harm. Not familiar with this practice?
