Service is Joy!

Today is "Holy Thursday" the day of commemoration of the "last supper" of Jesus with his disciples.  In the time leading up to the last supper the disciples had been discussing among themselves who was the greatest and so were said to have been astonished when Jesus took on the lowly task of washing their feet saying,

"I have given you an example that you should do as I have done for you."

i.e. we are to serve one another, seeking to build one another up, in humility and love.

Master Sha writes in every book, "The purpose of life is to serve.  I have committed my life to this purpose.  Service is my life mission."

You might wonder, "What kind of a life will I have, if I take on the attitude that my role is to serve?"  I am working my way through that attitude as well.  As the years have passed, I have sought to experience happiness through accomplishing goals, obtaining material possessions, going here, going there and although there has been temporary satisfaction, nothing has lasted.  On the other hand, there is nothing that can match the joy that I feel in my heart when I have helped someone else to be happier and healthier and here is the best part, the more I serve, the happier I become!

More good news; when everyone takes on this attitude, it is bound to come around so that others are finding joy in offering service to help me become happier and healthier!  As I write these words, my heart is happy; what I write is what I become!

There are so many ways to help others be healthier and happier; I begin with myself:  I love my heart and soul and the love in my heart spreads out naturally: I love all humanity When we Join hearts and souls together there is Love, peace and harmony!

What I chant is what I become; sing along with me now!

Listen and sing along to love peace harmony song
